It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we report the passing of Ky Simmons, a cherished young man whose life, though far too short, left a lasting imprint on all who knew and loved him.
Ky’s passing has sent waves of grief through his family and extended community, who are now left to navigate a world dimmed by his absence. He is lovingly remembered by his devoted mother Aremesia Simmons, his only sister Azyra, and his grandfather Gregory Green, all of whom have asked for continued prayers and support as they endure this unimaginable loss.
Family members have shared their pain publicly, asking friends and loved ones to keep them in prayer and close in thought during this difficult time. “We are heartbroken,” one family member said. “Ky was deeply loved, and his absence is already felt in every breath, every moment.”
Known for his bright spirit and warm smile, Ky brought joy wherever he went. His presence was a comfort to those around him — a mix of laughter, light, and quiet strength. He was more than a family member; he was a treasured Godson, a beloved brother, and a source of deep pride for all who watched him grow.
In honor of Ky’s memory, guests are welcome to visit the family and offer their condolences at the residence of his Godparent between the hours of 3 p.m. and 9 p.m. The family wishes to thank everyone for their kindness, presence, and prayers as they prepare to say goodbye.
Details for the upcoming memorial service will be shared at a later date.
As the family gathers to grieve and remember, the community is asked to continue lifting up Aremesia, Azyra, and Gregory in heartfelt prayer. The weight of this loss is heavy, but the love that surrounds Ky and his family is deeper still.
May Ky Simmons be remembered always for the light he brought into the world — and may his memory bring comfort, strength, and peace to those who loved him most.
